John Church, principal and founder of Apex Consulting Group International, has significant transactional experience in international and domestic project and corporation finance transactions in both the public and private sector.  Mr. Church was previously a Senior Underwriter at Zurich Credit and Political Risk, a private insurance provider of political risk and trade credit insurance.  At Zurich, Mr. Church underwrote transactions in emerging markets ranging between $1 million to $85 million in size.  During his early years with Zurich, Mr. Church developed the group's proprietary financial models, used to assess the credit worthiness of corporation and financial prospects.  Prior to his time at Zurich, Mr. Church was an Associate at First Union Securities, assisting with the structuring and underwriting of debt financing for clients in the defense, aerospace and information technology market segments.  Previously, Mr. Church was a consultant with Peterson Consulting, a litigation-support consulting firm.  Mr. Church earned his Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at The University of Virginia.
